Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Guillory Spencer
Elizabeth Spencer, 64, went to her heavenly home on June 27, 2021. Liz devoted her life to raising her 4 children. She especially loved her role as Mimi. It was this love and passion that brought her to become an early childhood caregiver, so she could work kids every day. Liz was born in Ville Platte, LA. On October 4th, 1956. She claims to have learned everything she knew from her own loving parents, Edward and Edna Guillory.
Liz spent her childhood living in Louisiana and moved to Houston, Texas as a teenager where she graduated from Cy-fair High School. As a young adult with a family, Liz settled in Lake Jackson, Texas and called that her home for over 40 years.
She met the love of her life George "Rusty" Louis Spencer, in 1992. Together they owned a construction company, shrimp boats and shared many adventures at Sea.
She was vivacious and always made people around her laugh. She had a compassionate spirit and made friends everywhere she went. Above all, her faith in her Lord and Savior was her driving force in life.
Liz is preceded in death by her son, Jason L. Guillory, Husband George "Rusty" Spencer, Father Joseph Edward Guillory, and sister Katherine Rinker.
Liz is survived by her daughters Melissa Dencker and fiancé Kirk Bundy, Courtney Ashmun and her husband Adam, and Kara Spencer. Grandchildren Brittany Baltzell and her Husband Jeremye, Brandon Dencker, Maddison, T.J. and Jason Casiano, Heston, Hynleigh and Hampton Ashmun. Great-grandchildren Shane and Mila Baltzell. Her mother Edna Guillory, her sisters Angela (Angie) Guillory, and Rebekah (Becki) Leslie and Husband Weldon. She is also survived by numerous, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held July 1st 2021, at 10:00am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am at Lake Jackson Church of Christ. 402 Center Way Dr, Lake Jackson, TX. 77566.
