Mary Lucille Browning, age 94, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at her son's home, in Harrison County, Kentucky. She was born in Harrison County on November 22, 1926, to the late Charles V. and Bertha Williamson Courtney.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis J. Browning; a son, Roger Lewis Browning; two brothers, Albert Courtney and Zenas Courtney; and four sisters, Eula Florence, Thelma Mattingly, Pauline Bruin and Margaret Fryman. She is survived by: two sons, Ernest A. (Cindy) Browning and Robert C. Browning; a brother, Ronald (Maxine) Courtney; a sister, Malissa Lemons; six grandchildren, Teresa Jane Lowery, Matthew E. Browning, Roger L. Browning, Jr., Thomas Jackson Browning, Felicity Pelfrey and Christina Browning; 10 great-grandchildren, Jamey Lowery, Collin Lowery, Blake Browning, Emily Browning, Kaitlyn Browning, Olivia Browning, Kody Pelfrey, Racquel Newbill, Jasper Browning and Jacob Browning; and a great-great-grandchild, Gabriel Lowery.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 2. Burial will be at Battle Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Browning, Johnny Lowery, Jamey Lowery, Collin Lowery, Roger Browning, Jr., Thomas Jackson Browning, Larry Courtney and Roy Cain.
