Marie M. McDonald, 87, of Charleston died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was born Sept. 3, 1916, in Cove. She was a homemaker and wife for 67 years and was the widow of the late David D. McDonald. She was a member of the Battiest Baptist Church in Oklahoma. Funeral will be at the Battiest Baptist Church in Oklahoma at 2 p.m. today with burial at Battiest Cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Willard Holmes of Lavaca; a grandson, Wendell Holmes of Charleston; a granddaughter, Kim Burton of Fort Smith; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Brad Burton, Wendell Holmes, Kerry Adams, Rob Spradling, Kenneth McDonald and Steve McDonald. Honorary pallbearers will be A.C. "Sonny" Williams and Jerry McDonald.
