Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Sanford for Mrs. Ruth Rogers, age 81, of Seminary who died on June 24, 2021. Bro. Jerry Hood will officiate the service.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by her sons, Jeffery Smith of Gulfport and Steven Smith of Bay Springs; daughter, Angela Powers of Sanford; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer and Pearl Rogers; sons, Anthony Smith and Randy Smith; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.
Mrs. Rogers worked for several years as an LPN. She also worked in the commercial licensing division for the MS Highway Patrol and loved being outside and working in her flowers.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Sanford.
