Jean is survived by her son, Jake (Sonja) Stein of Altoona; daughters, Joan (Al) Coppeta and Gail Brubaker both of Altoona; nine grandchildren: David, Robin, and Kimberly Stein, Heather (Jeff) Diehl, Thad McDonough, Jude (Korin) Coppeta, Lindsey (Phil) Hess, Ty Brubaker and Courtney Brubaker; seven great-grandchildren: Ashlee (Dave) McCloskey, Seth (Adrian) Diehl, Aden Diehl, Nic Coppeta, Lilli Coppeta, Vaughn Hess and Avery Hess; and brother, Paul (Gladys) Kime of McKinney, TX.
She was preceded in death by a son, David P. Stein, son-in-law, Keith Brubaker and a sister Audrey Kenny.
Jean was a graduate of Cresson High School. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Jean enjoyed watching different sporting events, especially Penn State, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Penguins. Jean loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the "sweetest, most AMAZING Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother who positively influenced all of us each and every day! Our family has been blessed with a true angel who unconditionally loved, gave advice, made us laugh, and brought a smile to all who knew her. We love you Mom!"
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon on Friday, July 2, 2021, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont by Msgr. Michael Becker. Committal will be held at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson.
