Member Of Pioneer Family Dies

Mrs. Maude Gladys Koch, 532 South Market, died suddenly in a local hospital yesterday. The wife of George Koch, who died two years ago, she was ill only a few hours.

Mrs. Koch returned to Wichita 3 1/2 years ago from Faye, Oklahoma. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Teter, were pioneers of Wichita.

She attended Lewis Academy and studied music at Wichita University.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the Broadway Mortuary. The body will be taken to Kansas City, Missouri, for cremation, and her ashes will be released from an airplane over Park Cemetery in Kansas City. Rev. H.J. Howard will officiate.

Surviving are two brothers; Walter Teter, Hollywood, California, and Monte Teter, 3000 East Franklin Road; two sisters, Mrs. Foster Stark, 3000 East Franklin Road, and Mrs. Will Young, Santa Monica, California; three nephews, Merle Crow, Eugene Crow, and Howard White, all of Wichita, and two nieces, Mrs. George Cartwright, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Mrs. Reed Sparks, Great Bend.
