Nancy Carolyn Campbell, age 89 of Walkerville, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Nancy was born on May 7, 1932 in Adrian to Robert Lee and Ethel (Snow) Hough and graduated from Sand Creek High School in 1950 and married her high school sweetheart, Joel Campbell on June 8, 1957. Joel preceded her in death on June 22, 2019. Together they had 3 sons, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. After graduation, Nancy, began her employment career with Adrian State Bank, Bohn Aluminum and Brass Corporation and Kewaunee Manufacturing Corporation in Adrian until 1963 when she moved from Adrian to Temperance, Michigan. At that time she then started work at the world headquarters executive offices of the Champion Spark Plug Company as Senior Executive Secretary for International Operations in Toledo, Ohio for over 20 years until her retirement in 1986. After retiring, Nancy and Joel moved to their summer home which they and their sons had built on Campbell Lake in Walkerville over the years starting in 1970, and wintered at their home in Zephyrhills, Florida as well. Nancy was a member of the Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia and had enjoyed counted cross stitch.

Nancy is survived by sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren - Son , Joel Scott Campbell, who preceded her in death on October 31, 2007 and his children, Benjamin Joel (Kristine) Campbell with his daughters, Amri Joelle Campbell and Layla Kristine Campbell; Nicholas Clark (Veronica) Campbell and his daughter, Emelia Elodie Rae Campbell; Son - Robert Kent Campbell and his children, Jennifer Marie (Brian) Poling; Jessica Mae (Jacob) Mitchell Campbell; Son - John Matthew Campbell and his children, Joshua Henry Campbell and his son, Aiden James Campbell, and Clayton Matthew Campbell. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Joel; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Virgia (Nelson) Hall; Ethelyn (Veri) Jackson Mackey; Rosemary (Sherman) Gunter Schott; 2 nieces, Janet and Merrill Hall.

VISITATION : Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 5-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412 with ROSARY SERVICE at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL : Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11am at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Brunswick 6382 S. Maple Island Road Fremont MI 49412 with a VISITATION from 10-11 at the church.
