TRAILL – At Perth on Saturday, Feb 23, 1952, Annie Wark, Widow of the late John Traill, in her 85th year. The funeral was held on Monday from the Scott Funeral Home, Almonte, to the Auld Kirk Cemetery.

Mrs John Traill
The death occurred at Perth of Annie Wark, daughter of the late James Wark and Agnes Pretty, on Saturday, Feb 23rd. She was in her 85th year and was born in Tatlock in 1867, the last of a family of 12. In 1888 she was united in marriage to the late John Traill also of Tatlock, and moved to Almonte 50 years ago. To this union were born six children, three sons and three daughters. Agnes, Tillie and John predeceased her some years ago. Left to mourn are Mrs Nellie Rintoul of Calgary; William of Ottawa and James of Almonte. There are 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. The funeral which was largely attended, was held from the Scott Funeral Home on Monday, Feb 25th, with Rev H.C. Wolfraim of Almonte United Church conducted the service. Interment was in the Auld Kirk Cemetery. The pallbearers were Arnold Craig, Edward Houston, John Sonnenburg, Ivan Wark, Melville Wark and Percy Finch. There were many floral tributes received from friends and mourners.
