In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Willie E. Welch, whom passed away on April 24, 2000; one infant son, Timothy Welch; adaughter in-law, Debra Kay "Debbie" Welch; and two sisters: Maxine Knotts and Nancy Jones.
Betty was always "on the go" whether it was to her weekly trip to get her hair done, a trip to the store, or to church. She was a homemaker, but also enjoyed cleaning for many families over the years. Betty enjoyed cooking and would often share with her friends in the community. Her porch was always adorned with beautiful flowers that she was so proud of. Most importantly, Betty loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
