The son of the late George W. Powell, Jr. and Evelyn May Thomas Powell, he was born November 20, 1952 in Ft. Worth, Texas and went to his Heavenly home on June 27, 2021 in an Oklahoma City hospital surrounded by his family.
George served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam and was honorably discharged June 16, 1971. He owned and operated E. P. Maintenance and Construction company. He loved God.
George is survived by sons, Richard Powell and wife Ashley; Christian Powell; Kinnith Powell and Jeremiah Powell; daughters, Georgeanna Powell and wife Brandi Powell-Straka; Ashley McCollough and husband Damian; Evelyn Robison and wife Nikishia; Debra Lynn Powell; Mattisyn Powell; Mickynzie Powell; Michal Powell; and Hope Creekmore; sisters, Dianna Barnes, Claudia Estrada and husband Albert; Debra Sue and husband Terry; and Carol Stewart; his brother Tim Powell; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Bobby Creekmore and George W. Powell, IV; his wife Adrianne Dugas Powell and brother Wally Powell.
