Major League Baseball Player. Played Major League baseball for 8 seasons (1910 to 1912, 1915 to 1919) as a backup catcher for the Cleveland Indians and the Philadelphia Phillies. His decent defensive skills helped offset his inability to hit. Spent three seasons with the Indians before being sent to the minors. Purchased by the Phillies, he appeared in 24 games for them in 1915, helping them to the National League pennant (but he was left off the post-season roster). He would play 4 more years with the Phils, appearing in a career high 84 games in 1918, and was out of baseball after 1919. His career totals were 267 games played, 137 hits and a .202 career batting average. He worked for many years as a Hollywood Movie studio technician after his playing days were over.
