Frank Lewis Taylor, of McAlester, died June 28, 2021 in Claremore.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2021 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery officiated by David Bailey.

Frank was born to J.L. "Jack" Taylor and Frances Rebecca (McDoulett) Taylor Kennedy in Claremore.

Frank married Sharon Kaye Cooksey on January 16, 1969.

He served six years in the United States Army from March 31, 1967 to March 30, 1973. He received an honorable discharge as an E-6 Staff Sergeant, and also received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

Frank worked several years as a welder and then began his lifelong dream job of being a truck driver, a career in which he remained until his retirement.

Frank is survived by his daughter: Roxann Hale of Tulsa; his son: Roland and wife, Sheri of Yanush; his granddaughters: Amber Hankins and husband, Duane, Rebecca Hall, Jessica Taylor, Sarah Taylor and fiancé, Dakota Burns; his grandsons: Cody Kilgore, Johnathan Taylor; his great-grandchildren: Nevaeh Penfield, Emma Taylor; his brother: Leonard Taylor and wife, Ellen; his sister: Vanelle Wilson; his sister-in-law: Veronica Sexton; his brothers-in-law: Roger Cooksey and wife, Laura, John Cooksey and wife, Connie; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Sharon Kaye Taylor in April of 2021, his father: J.L. "Jack" Taylor, and his mother: Frances Rebecca (McDoulett) Taylor Kennedy.
