Martha was the daughter of John Kelso Davis and his wife Edith Brainard. Martha married first to Geddes Charles Parsons on August 22, 1941 at the Fenwick section of Old Saybrook, Connecticut. Martha and Geddes had four daughters. Martha married second to Jack Soper. Martha's daughter Julia Parson, and her brother Kelso Davis are also buried here at the Memorial Garden.
