James "Jim" Edward Nance, 82, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021.
Mr. Nance was born and raised in Scottsboro, Alabama. He was a member of Redemption Point Church, a US Army veteran, and retired from BOC gases as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donovan and Beulah Nance; brothers, Verlon "Shorty", Ernest, Aubrey and Veron Nance; and sister, Naomi Wicks.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Myra Nance; daughter, Renee (Todd) Causby; granddaughter, Lily Brooks; sister, Wilma King; and step-daughter, Ashlyn Causby.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday and 10 to 11:30 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 11:30 AM on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the funeral home with Rev. Chris Carter officiating.
Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
