Tom was born June 26, 1950 in Corning, NY the son of Edward and Marianne (Lane) Hickey Jr.
He was a 1969 graduate of Corning East High School.
Tom and Jean E. Wilcox were married in St. Patrick's Church in Corning on March 28, 1969.
He was a U.S. veteran serving in the Navy from 1971-1973.
Tom retired from Norfolk and Southern Railway loved being around the trains.
He was an avid hunter, enjoyed woodworking and mowing the neighborhood lawns. He was a kind and giving person always lending a hand to anyone in need.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jean E. Hickey of Corning; children, Tammy L Hickey, Thomas C. Hickey Jr. and Timothy E.L. Hickey all of Corning; sister, Pamela J. (Robert) Gehl of Painted Post; granddaughter, Jenna M. Hickey of Corning; special life time friend, Rodney Moss; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Edward L. Hickey III.
