John started working for the B&O Railroad in January of 1969 as a signal maintainer. He maintained crossing gates, flashers, signals and switches. He retired in October of 2006 after 38 years of service.
He enjoyed showing his display of railroad memorabilia at festivals and car shows. He loved showing how the old signal equipment worked. He also enjoyed his tractors, antiques, mowing his yard, dancing and music, most of all he loved his family. John enjoyed watching his sons in sports and following their careers. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren, Blayne in sports and Tristyn's artwork.
John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Priscilla (née Fox); sons, Kevin (Megan) Morrow, of Mansfield, Scott (Jen) Morrow, of Bath TWP; grandchildren Tristyn and Blayne, of Mansfield; siblings Carol (Chet) Weigle, of SC, Margaret Strecker of Bellevue, and Jack Morrow, of WA; sisters-in-law, Linda Stuart, Laura Coffman, and Diana Coover; and brothers-in-law, Dan and Chuck Fox; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. John was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Harriet Morrow, his in-laws, Kenneth and Dorothy Fox, brothers-in-law Jim Fox, Chuck Coffman, Gary Gott, and Paul Strecker, sisters-in-law, Lauri Morrow and Justine Fox
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, June 30, from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at the Ripley Church, 4130 Edwards Road, Greenwich, where services will be held on Thursday beginning at 11 a.m. burial will follow at Edwards Grove Cemetery. Donations in John's memory may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, 44870, or the Ripley Church.
