Roy Eugene Taylor, age 85, of Alma passed away on June 26, 2021 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville,Florida after an extended illness. Born in Bacon County on June 24, 1936 to Oswald Taylor and Gladys Tanner Taylor.He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was retired from the Postal Service.

In addition his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Marlow Taylor, Billy Taylor and John Q. Taylor;two sisters, Laverne Carter and Lutricel Taylor.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years. Lillie Mae Holton Taylor of Jacksonville; three sons, Tony Taylor (Jeanette) of Interlocking, FL., Timmy Taylor of Nicholls; three daughters, Robin White (Allen) of Jacksonville, Kim Ellison (Roger) of Kingsland and Cindy H arman of Jacksonville; two brpthers, Quillian Taylor (Sandra) and Ray Taylor (Sheila) of Alma; one sister, Faye Schoppee (Ron) of Douglas; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home withRev. T. F. Yawn officiating. Interment will follow in Wolf Pit Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will be receiving friends at thefuneral home Wednesday from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Robert Hearman, Shawn White, Kris White, Leon Taylor, Gabriel Hearman and KodyWhite. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
