Mrs. Linda Mae Sexton, age 74 of Chatsworth, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at Redmond Hospital in Rome.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Sexton; parents, Junior and Mary Lou Gillespie; son, Scott Sexton, brother, David Gillespie; sister-in-law, Teresa Gillespie.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Sexton of Chatsworth; daughters and son-in-law, Angie and James Messer of Chatsworth, and Betty Sexton of Chatsworth; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Genell Gillespie, Mark Gillespie and Ralph Gillespie; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tina Gillespie and Tommy Dalton, Carolyn and Ricky Welch, Sue and William Shelton; grandchildren, Joseph Messer, Maryanna Sexton, Miranda Messer, Haley Messer, Angeleena Phillips, Cinthea Simmons, Dezreigh Pena, Kenny Simmons; great-grandchildren, Tristan Sexton, Rylan Sexton, Kayleigh Messer, Damon Webb, Jacob Carlin, Ema Carlin, Aiden Carlin, Leighton Simmons, Mihaylah Ivester, Destiny Pena, Averian Pena, Sabella Pena, Ellie Pena, Hayden Simmons, Jasmine Simmons; and extended family.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sexton will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 at 3:00 pm from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Brother Tracy Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
