Leona Hopper, 85 of Glendale, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021 at Gardner Nursing Center in Star City.
She was born September 25, 1935 in Rowell to the late Edgar and Thelma Asa McDaniel Reap.
Leona was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church at New Home and was a retired bookkeeper and cashier for Mad Butcher for many years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ellis Hopper; son, Ellis Dewayne Hopper; daughter, Glenda Sue Hopper; and brother, Junior Reap.
Survivors include a son, Gary Eugene (Joann) Hopper of Glendale; 2 daughters, Teresa Gail (Billy) Bates of Conway and Anita Carol (Mike) Boe of Apex, NC; 2 sisters, Lavon Lampkin of Benton and Thelma Schupback of Rogers; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are 11:00AM Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Steven Stone officiating.
Visitation is 10:00-11:00AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial at Rowell Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Donald Ray Kesterson, Ray Kesterson, Jason Ryburn, Ellis Hopper, Steven Loftin, and Dennis Nicholson.
