John W. Warner, age 67, of "Old" Carpentersville, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. John was born in Elgin on April 1, 1954 and was one of 9 children born to the late Victor J. & Kathleen E. (nee Stallman) Warner. John was a lifelong resident of the area and a lifelong member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in West Dundee as well as a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus Siena Council # 8596. He was a 1972 graduate of St. Edward High School in Elgin and a 1976 graduate of Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan where he earned a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Prior to retirement, John was co-owner and operator of his family's monument company J.S. Warner & Sons in East Dundee and then worked for Additive Manufacturing and 3 D Printing. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years; Barbara S. (nee Polus) Warner whom he married on June 25, 1977. Their (3) children; Sue(fiance' Zac Dawson) Paul (fiance' Heather Jeschke) and Emily. His (3) grandchildren all whom he loved and was very proud of; Jake, Alex, and Molly. Other survivors include his siblings; Kathy Hurley, Lauren Christopherson, Steve Warner, Sue (Jim) Stec, Mike (Linda) Warner, Phil (the late Cheri) Warner, Vicki (Fraser) Domich, and Joan (Dan) Comenduley, his mother-in-law; Dorothy Polus, his brother-in-law; Paul Polus, many nieces and nephews as well as countless cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his father-in-law; Paul Polus. Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, West Dundee with Rev. John McNamara, Pastor, officiating. Private family burial will be held at Dundee Township East Cemetery in East Dundee. Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and again on Saturday morning at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass. Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made to either; the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital.
