Funeral services for Mr. Harvey Ray Johnson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Pitkin Pentecostal Church, with Reverends Tim Thompson, Gary Bankson and Rod Buller officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery, Fort Polk, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Johnson, 76, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 26, 2021, in his residence.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed working his farm and being outdoors. His passion was worshipping his Lord and Savior. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Veston and Florence Johnson; loving wife, Bobbie Jo Johnson; one brother, Julius Johnson; and one sister, Rellie Ann Ashworth.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include one son, Alfred Ray Johnson, and his wife, Deborah, of Plainview; four daughters, Shonda Gail Johnson, of Pitkin, Rhonda Gail Zills, and her husband, Greg, of Rosepine, Colinda Gail Thomas, and her husband, Jason, of Pitkin, and Brenda Gail Waddell, and her husband, Mitch, of Rosepine; one brother, Kenneth Johnson, and his wife, Wanda, of Cravens; one sister, Kathy Cardy, and her husband, Ernie, of Cravens; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Pitkin Pentecostal Church, on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. and remain open until time of service on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
