Mr. Grady Reece Moore, 67, a resident of Lake Forest Drive, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021. He was born on September 13, 1953 in Davidson County, Thomasville, NC to Barney Reece Moore, Sr. and Peggy Jean Hooker Moore. He retired after 30+ years as store manager with Lowes Foods and prior worked for Winn-Dixie. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a great father and mentor. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and most recently spent most of his time on the lake with his son and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Reece Moore on November 6, 1999.

Surviving is his son, Richard Scott Moore of New London; brother, Barney Reece Moore, Jr. and wife Liz of Pulaski, VA; sister, Gloria "Dodie" Yates of Concord, NC; granddaughters, Abigail Marie Moore and Allison Nicole Moore; and canine companions, Molly, Elmo, Scratch, and Pepper.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Bynum Orr officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
