Carol Schiel Robertson, 75, of Georgetown, Texas passed away at her home on June 18, 2021.

She was born on March 14, 1946, in Addison Michigan and was preceded in death by her husband Richard Robertson, her mother Leta Schiel, and her fathers Donald Schiel and Dorman Bugbee.

To cherish her memories, Carol leaves behind her two daughters Deleasa (husband Pat) McDonaldson, and Karin (husband Adrien) Chopin; her 7 Grandchildren Samantha, Jace, Liam, Trish, Dallas, Rena, and Nicholas, as well as her first born Great Grandson Corbyn.

Also surviving are her sister Donelda (Joe) Carson in Smithfield Virginia, her brother Ronald Schiel in Brooklyn Michigan, and sisters Sue (Jerry) Lightfoot and Deanna Dermyer both living in Michigan. She also leaves behind nephews and nieces – Matt Carson in Maine, Hanna Carson in Virginia; AJ (Lacey) Schiel, their daughters Isabelle and Charleigh of Michigan; and Stacy (Daniel) Hampel in Texas. Sister-in-law Annette (Dan) Myers and her nephews David and Peter Raft in Michigan, and Andrew Owens in Florida. She has many additional cousins.

Carol was an amazing woman who touched the lives and hearts of so many people. She was always so full of energy, loved to laugh, entertain, and share her knowledge of so many things with others. Carol had an incredibly creative spirit, and it came through in everything she did. She was a teacher in the fullest sense of so many things – dance lessons, baton twirling (including a fire baton!), Sunday School at the Lutheran Church, baking and confections, to name only a few. She was an entrepreneur owning her business Cakes and Candies by Carol and she made many beautiful and delicious cakes. She also was a member of the American Rose Society and served as a Judge and Arrangement Instructor.

Carol never met a stranger and was always eager for conversation, but her passion was being with her family. She moved to Texas to be closer to her daughters. She loved spending time with all her grandchildren, and she taught them so much. Some of their favorites were making cookies, doing arts and crafts, making Christmas cards, stitching, playing cards and games, and hearing stories about her adventures.

Carol has created so many fond memories with others and was always willing to lend a hand. She will be long remembered for her love of the holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween. She was the "Witch of Lookout Circle" for so many years and she carried that tradition to Alabama and Texas. At Christmas time she was known for hosting candy and cookie making parties for friends and families to gather, create, celebrate, and EAT! She has embroidered over 80 Christmas Stockings for family and friends and so many have received her hand made cards for all occasions. Carol's home was always a favorite stop for many to have cookies, coffee, and good company.

Despite the health challenges she has faced over the last 11 years she has never ceased to amaze us her with her endless adaptations to life's challenges and her fight.

Although Carol has gone home to be with The Lord and her husband, her zest for life and her spirit will forever be in our hearts.

Currently, there are no specific Memorial plans in place. Carol had strong connections and relationships with family and friends spread across many States and we would like to take time to consider how we could have a celebration of her life with this in mind.
