Mr. Richard Kavanaugh "Dad" Watson, 86, a retired welder with Babcock and Wilcox Mfg., died 6/26/21 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS. Survivors include his wife; Marie Dean Watson, 6 daughters; Sharon (Mark) Fant, Melissa (Doug) Evans, Rebecca (Ronnie) Tisdale, Ruth Ann Lawlor, Amy (Dale) Ballard, Amanda (Bill) Cable, son; Paul Watson, 3 sisters; Mary Nell Gary, Wilma Lou Walker, Myra McAlpin, brother; Randall (Alma Jean) Watson, 12 grandchildren; Morgan Fant, Brandy (Jes) Smith, Jimmy (Nicole) Larmi, Aaron (Kendall), Ben and Phebe Tisdale, Jacob and Abigail Lawlor, Kayla (Neal) McMinn, Paul Jr., Watson, Houston Ballard, and Gene Cable, 7 great-grandchildren; Elizabeth and James Smith, Evan and Maci Larmi, Austin, Will and Kaylee Caroline McMinn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Edward "Bill" Estelle Watson and Jessie K. Watson, 5 brothers; Glenn, Gilbert, Kenneth, Jerry, and Jesse Joe Watson, his son; Jeffrey Richard Watson and granddaughter; Heather Marie Watson
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday 6/29/21 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Choctaw County, MS. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM Tuesday 6/29/21 at Oliver Funeral Home.
