Obituary of Carol Ann (Perry) Blackmon
Carol Ann Perry Blackmon 78 of Attalla passed away June 25, 2021. Funeral service will be at 2p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021 at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Carol Ann was born July 6, 1942. She grew up in Attalla and graduated from Etowah High School in 1960. She retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in 1999 after 23 years of service. She was a hard worker, always putting her family first. She was a wonderful, caring and loving mother and Nana. Carol was a true beauty with a beautiful, kind, and generous heart. She was an animal lover. She had many special dogs. She leaves behind her precious dog, Butch. Nana loved spending time camping and vacationing at the beach and mountains with Sam and her family, especially with her grandchildren, Dylan and Lindsey, who were the light of her life. She and Sam planned many yearly vacations for us, and we thank you for all the love and good times we shared. We love you forever and always, night night. Carol Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Blackmon; parents, Clarence Perry and Mabel Beatrice Perry; brothers, William "Bugs" Perry, Gene "Tex" Perry; daughter, Carla Jean "Jeanie" Pearce; nephew, Mark Perry; Former husband, T.C. Pearce.

She is survived by her daughters, Tina )Allen) Beavers, Teresa Pearce Phillips, and Danne Pearce Dunn; grandchildren, Dylan Perry Beavers, Lindsey Carol Beavers, Nicci Garmon (Drew) Gillespie, Ashley Beaugez and Matt Dunn; step children, Tim (Nancy) Blackmon, Tammy (Greg) Gilliland; great grandchildren, Mackenzye Germany, Gavin Gillespie, and Kennedy Jones; step grandchildren, Hannah Blackmon, Magan (Beau) Dickey, Emily (Jacob) McAllister, Samuel Gilliland; step great grandchildren, Atti, Scarlett, and Jed Dickey, Ava Blackmon; special nieces, Shannon Perry May, Marcia Perry, and a very special nephew, Will Perry May.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Beavers, Will Perry May, Samuel Gilliland, Chris Campbell, Steven Campbell, and Adam Campbell. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Carol Ann's wonderful cousins.

Special thanks to Faye Payne, her daughters, Kelly and granddaughter, Sally for taking care of our mom during this difficult time. Also special thanks to Kristina and everyone at Southern Care New Beacon Hospice.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 12pm until 2pm Monday, June 28, 2021 at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
