Mildred Gibson lovingly known as "Millie" – Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was born in Jersey City, NJ in 1933. Mildred was 1 of 12 children (6 boys and 6 girls) born to the late Otis Robinson and Laura Nunn Robinson.

Mildred graduated from Lincoln High School. In 1952 Mildred married Lewis W. Gibson and became a "military wife". Out of that union, they were blessed in 1953 with their daughter Icilda.

Mildred enjoyed being a military wife, but that was not enough for her. She later chose to have a career of her own at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center. She worked as a certified Cath Laboratory Technician for 27 years and was acknowledged over the years by Certificates of Appreciation and Honors for her eye for details and organizational skills in the Lab.

Mildred loved to entertain family and friends and travel within the United States and abroad. Throughout her life she was affiliated with many organizations such as the VFW, TOPS, and the Red Hat Society. She was caring and had a generous spirit and was well loved by family and friends.

Mildred passed on the 22nd of June from cancer complications. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis W. Gibson in 2005 and 6 brothers: Otis, Cornelius, Lamar, Vernon, Eugene and Howard and 4 sisters: Thelma, Laura, Vivian and Constance. She is survived by her daughter Icilda Johnson and son-in-law Brandon Johnson, 4 granddaughters: Desiree', Kim, Ava (and her husband Ish) and April, 12 great grandchildren: Craig, Miles, Tarik, Ciara, Kai, Khephren, A'Van, Elias, Jon, Atira, Sean and Raheem, 2 great-great grandchildren: Emory and Kai'ree, her sister Joyce Moore, sisters-in-law: Julia Robinson (Lamar), Barbara Robinson (Eugene) and Andrea Robinson (Howard) and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on July 2, 2021, at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street, Mt. Holly, NJ: Viewing at 10AM followed by the funeral at 11AM. The Interment will be held July 6 at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ.
