Agnes B. Duzick, 93, of Coal Township, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021, while surrounded by her loving family at Serenity Gardens, in Kulpmont. She and her husband, Andrew E. "Buster" Duzick resided at 1510 W. Arch St., for many years.

She was born June 30, 1927, in Coal Run, a daughter of the late Anna (Kopilec) and Stephen Mayton.

Agnes graduated from Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary grade school. Her education was interrupted by the Great Depression, but she never lost her love of learning. In 2007, at the age of 80, Agnes earned her GED.

On Sept. 27, 1947, she married Andrew E. "Buster" Duzick. They were married for 66 years before Andrew's death in 2013.

She was of Catholic faith and a parishioner of Our Lady of Hope Church, Coal Township.

Agnes was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who devoted herself to maintaining a beautiful home and raising her children. She was an avid runner for many years and enjoyed interior decorating, gardening, crafts, reading and most of all her family.

Agnes is survived by her son, Michael and his wife, Maureen, of Paxinos; a daughter, Andrea Dombroski, of Sinking Springs; a daughter, Linda, of Gaithersburg, Maryland; a son, Andrew and his wife, Corrine, of Elysburg; three granddaughters, Lynn Dombroski, Jennifer Vastola and Meghan Duzick; and a great-granddaughter, Reiley Weidenheimer.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; four brothers, John, Joseph, Peter and Paul Mayton; four sisters, Johanna Bobkoski, Anna Olszewskie, Mary Taylor and Theresa Pupo; and a grandson, Larry Dombroski Jr.

DUZICK - Agnes B. Duzick, 93, of Coal Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, Center Street, Elysburg. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Thursday at the church vestibule. Burial will follow Mass at All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.
