Randall Powell was born on March 3, 1943 in Clay County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Walter Powell and Myrtle Proffitt Powell. He was united in marriage to Norma Jean Robinson Powell who preceded him in death. He is survived by four children, Edna Powell Buttery; Rita Sturgill and husband Mike; Lucindy Powell all of London, Kentucky; and Andy Powell and wife Michelle of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; two brothers, Ed Powell of London; and Homer Powell and wife Nina of Cedar Grove, West Virginia; eight grandchildren, Jeff Buttery, Daniel Hornsby, Natosha Smith, Chris Powell, and Brandon Powell, Johnathan Powell, Andria Powell, and Richard Bowling; six great-grandchildren, Ariana Buttery, Kyera Buttery, Daniel Hornsby, Latosha Hornsby, Easton Cooper, and Salem Kinley; a special friend Easter Robinson Tincher plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Earl Powell (Goldie), Elmer Powell (Loretta), Susie Evans (Jack), Etta Mae Powell (Walt Weaver), Hazel Whittaker (I.B. Whitaker), Roy Powell (Anna Lou), sister in law Irene Powell and special friend Emma Sargent.
Randall was a sawmill worker and worked for the forest service and was of the Christian Faith.
Randall Powell departed this life on Friday, June 25, 2021 being 78 years, 3 months and 22 days of age.
Funeral services for Randall Powell will be conducted at 3 PM Monday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Bradley Brock officiating; burial will follow in Rough Creek Cemetery in London.
