James R. "Rab" Ramsey, 92 of Edmond, W. Va. passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at his home. Born on January 1, 1929 in Winona, W. Va. he was the son of the late Niles Ramsey and Goldie Mae McMillion. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Louise Ramsey; daughter, Flora Dianne Ramsey; grandson, Tommy Ramsey, Jr.; sister, Hazel Hall and brothers, Eugene Ramsey, Jackie Ramsey, Thomas Ramsey, Johnnie Ramsey and Ronald Ramsey. James was a U.S. Army veteran, proudly serving his country from 1951-1953. He retired from the coal mines. He loved telling stories and spending time with his great grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Annette Dowdy; sons, Floyd Ramsey, James Ramsey; sister, Eloise Myles; brother, Bernard Ramsey; ten grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Burial in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor, W. Va.
