Jo Ella was born in 1948 to Amos Goddard and Juanita Falkenbury and was known to her family as Jo or Jodi.

Jo married Carl Bush in 1962. They lived in Murphysboro and later, in Energy, Illinois. They raised four daughters (Wanda Fay, Carla, Paula and Angela). Jo and Carl were together for 22 years. After their separation, Jo moved from Illinois to Florida for a number of years before returning to Southern Illinois.

After relocating back to Murphysboro, Jo married Bob Neace. They were very happy together for a number of years. Bob has passed away but our family has fond memories of Bob Neace and his hilarious shenanigans and jokes. He kept Jo and the entire extended family entertained.

For more than 17 years, until his passing, Jo was married to Robert "Bob" Green.

Jo worked for many years at JC Penney department store and later at Penn Aluminum in Murphysboro, Illinois until she retired. Her last husband Bob Greene also retired from Penn Aluminum, where he was a supervisor.

Her family and her faith was very important to Jo. Traveling to various concerts and gospel music shows was one of her favorite things to do. She also enjoyed family gatherings with her sisters and nieces and nephews and extended family. Jodi was famous at family dinners for her potato salad and signature cheese balls. Jo often committed random acts of kindness, helping family members and friends who were in need and at times, surprising them with rather extravagant gifts. Jo was a generous human being and a fun loving person. She was known informally as the "Pig Lady" because of her extensive collection of pig memorabilia gathered over her lifetime, which at one point may have been enough to fill a small museum!

Jo is survived by her daughters and her grandchildren, a sister Ruth and nieces and nephews Tammy Jo Griffin and her husband Mark, Toni Jo Freeman and her husband Charles and son Chance, David Camden and wife Julie and son Tristan and brother-in-law Jack Camden, Sr. , Jason Ellett and family, niece Tracy and many other loved ones and friends. She is missed.
