John Phillip Barton, 56, of Richmond, TX passed away on June 25, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. Barton, Sr., Sarah Jane and a brother, Richard A. Barton.

He is survived by his siblings; Joseph E. Barton, Jr (Elaine), of Missouri; Linda Bowser (Douglas), of Mississippi; Ruth Burks (Dennis), of Kansas; Michael Barton, Sr, of Maryland; Patricia Dekowsky (Daniel), of Maryland. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many other friends and family members.

He was a graduate of Dundalk High School and Houston Community College. He was a network technician with AT&T for many years.

He had a lifelong love of music and was a member of the bands KURFU and BROTHERS OF OTHERS MOTHERS. He recorded several albums of his music including DOES NOT PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS and LOVE, ETC. John was well respected and loved by his band mates. They have been a large part of his life for many years.

A Celebration of Life will be held for John "Phillip" in the near future.
