Benjamin Mark Price of Uhrichsville, fondly known as "Mark", passed away peacefully on Friday, June 25, 2021 at the age of 62 after an extended hospital stay. He was born in Akron on October 8, 1958 to the late Franklin Fred and Ruth Ann Price. Mark relocated with his parents to numerous cities including Toledo, Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago and Sault Ste. Marie. He graduated from Fremd High School in Palatine, Illinois and attended Sault Sheltered Workshop, Starlight Enterprises and the Stepping Stone Workshop.
His father Frank spent a lifetime with his first wife Ruth raising and caring for Marks special-needs. He made sure Mark's life was as normal as possible, taking him on vacations to the Outer Banks and Hershey Park, and helping him live as independently as possible. Frank and Mark even started a small business filling gumball machines with candies and treats at local establishments in order to spend additional time with him.
Mark spent the last 10+ years of his life at a Stepping Stone Group Home in Uhrichsville, OH. Special thanks to his care-givers Sonya, Debbie, Bill, Brenton, JR and many others for their kindness and love of our beloved brother. Also thanks to the Summa Hospice team who cared for Mark during his final days on earth.
He is survived by his step-mother Edith (nee McNeely) Price of Dover, OH; 2 siblings: Fred (Sheila) Price of Peninsula, OH and Nancy (Mark) Arrington of Las Vegas, NV; 6 nephews / nieces: Craig (Alexis) Jones of Los Angeles, CA, Sarah (Geno) Williams of El Cajon, CA, Kathryn (John) Dean of Boston Heights, OH, and Jessica (Erik) Samuelson of Brooklyn, NY; Ryan (Allison) Harding of Columbus, OH and Eric (Katie) Harding of Macedonia, OH; and 9 great-nephews / nieces: Taylee, Kaden, Ellerie, Ryleigh, Malachi, Genevieve, Madeleine, Jameson and Miles and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
