When Micajah William Proctor Sr. was born in 1740, in Sussex, Virginia, British Colonial America, his father, Robert Proctor Jr., was 20 and his mother, Mary Ann Bennett, was 23.
Micajah met and married Elizabeth Brank in Virginia, 1755 where they lived until they emigrated from North Carolina to Kentucky by way of the Cumberland Gap or Great Stone Gap when Sarah was 10 or 12 years old.
They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 6 daughters.

He died on after 20 May 1800, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, United States, at the age of 60.

KY Will Book C page 44 In the name of God Amen I Micajah Proctor of Lincoln County and Commonwealth of Kentucky, being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory. Therefore taking Into consideration the mortality of my body knowing that It Is appointed for all men once to die make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament. Imprimis: It Is my Will and I do order that In the first place all my just debts and funeral charges be paid and satisfied. Then I give and bequeath unto mv Dearlv Beloved wife Elizabeth Proctor the use of my plantation where I now reside with all the farming utencils and household furniture except what I may hereafter bequeath to her natural life, after her decease I allow my Plantation to be equally divided between my three sons, Robert, Jeremiah and Micajah.

JAMES NICHOLAS (JOHN) was born 1770 in VA or N.C, and died Abt. 1820 in Wayne Co. KY. He married POLLY PROCTOR May 21, 1792 in Fort Boonesborogh, Madison Co, Ky, daughter of MICAJAH PROCTOR and ELIZABETH BRANK. She was born March 23, 1774 in VA.
