Troy Calvin Courtright, age 89, of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed away Friday, June 25, 2021 in Stillwater.

Troy was born July 21, 1931 west of Perkins, Oklahoma to Joseph Calvin and Dorothy Opal (Burton) Courtright. He grew up in the Stillwater, Perkins, and Ripley areas. He attended Clayton school and later moved to Ripley Public Schools.

Troy entered the United States Army in 1952, and faithfully served his country for two years. Spending some of his service time in the beautiful country of Germany. Upon his return, he met Barbara Stafford in September of 1955 and they were united in marriage in January of 1956. They were blessed with three children, Tammy Lou, Brenda Jane, and Nancy June. From 1959 to 1962 Troy and Barbara ran a service station located at Ramsey and 6th street in Stillwater. In 1959 they bought a farm southeast of Stillwater where Barbara still resides.

Troy enjoyed working on the farm raising cattle, pumping oil wells, helping his neighbors, joking around and aggravating everyone!

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann (Stafford) Courtright of the home; three daughters, Tammy Olson and late husband Dennis Olson, Brenda O'Neal and husband Jerry, and Nancy McCoy and husband Terry; six grandchildren, Jai Webb and husband Jeff, Elizabeth Turchin and husband Troy, Calvin O'Neal and wife Jennifer, Seth Olson and wife Amber, Cody O'Neal and wife Tina, and Taylin McCoy. Twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Don Courtright; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Opal Courtright; brother, Jean Courtright; and sister, Frances Kinkade; and son-in-law, Dennis Olson.

A Celebration of Troy's life will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Eden Chapel with pastor John Curtis officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
