Donna Mae Murphy, Beloved Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother passed on June 22, 2021 at her home in Afton, OK. She was 75.
Donna was born on June 23, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois to Cy and Dorothy Malinski.(preceded in death). Donna's had two siblings Cy Malinski and identical twin sister, Diane Durben (both preceded in death).
Donna met the love of her life and next door neighbor, Robert Murphy (preceded in death) the summer of 1958 in Woodale, Illinois. Donna and Bob married July 27, 1961 they went on to have four children. Daniel Robert (Eve) Murphy Carthage, Missouri; David Allen (Gia) Murphy) Ft. Myers, Florida; Joanne Marie Murphy Crase Shores, Oklahoma; Jeanette Carol (Robert) Murphy-Grant Glendale, Arizona
Donna and Bob moved their family of six out of the busy life in Streamwood, Illinois and chose a beautiful farm on a hilltop in Welch, Oklahoma. Here their children would have all the room to ride mini bikes and horses, work on hotrods, garden and open their hearts and arms to any friends or family who stopped in to say hello. Donna always said she could cook for an army on a moments notice and by gosh, she didn't raise no wusses. When Donna and Bob reached a mile stone of 25 years of marriage, there was a surprise party where family and long time friends came from across the county to celebrate their life long love. Donna always said Bob was the love of her life and she would never find another man who meant that much to her as him. Donna kept her word, as she always did and never remarried after Bob's death on February 17, 1998.
Donna was very proud of her seven grandchildren, who came into her life at a young age. She enjoyed each and everyone of them, ensuring all had a nic name and learned important life lessons on the family farm. Annaz (Jordan) Sprinkle, Mike (Jessica) Bowers, LaDonna (Justin) Murphy-Crosby, Derek Murphy, Cheryl Murphy (preceded in death), Amber Wagner, Jarrod Wagner.
Donna was blessed with thirteen Great-Grand children.
