Juanita J. Adams, 82 of Berne, Indiana passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Adams Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
She was born on June 16, 1939, in Berne, Indiana to the late Christian (Chris) Roy Litwiller and the late Bessie (Yoder) Litwiller.
Juanita was united in marriage to James L. Adams on September 22, 1957, at the Berne Evangelical Church.
Juanita was a member of the New Corydon Bible Church.
Juanita was employed by Swiss Village for several years where she spent her time in the food service department.
Juanita loved to bake. Having a passion for helping her community, she also volunteered at the Hope Clinic in Berne where she could lend her assistance to those in need.
Survivors include her husband, James Adams of Berne, Indiana; two daughters, Mary (Russell) Geyer of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and Gwendolyn (Troy) Mitchel of Bluffton, Indiana; six grandchildren, Nicole Gladwin, Lindsey Del Greco, Otis Mitchel, Curtis Mitchel, Hannah Stevens, and Leah Zachary; and eight great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Adams (in infancy) along with six older brothers and sisters
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager – Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne with Pastor Patrick Young officiating. Burial will be at the Berne Evangelical Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday June 30, 2021, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne and one hour prior to services on Thursday also at the funeral home
Preferred memorials can be given to New Corydon Bible Church or Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home
