Laura Faye Jones was born on March 27, 1952 to A.J. and Velma Snell Clark in Waco, Texas.

She was raised and reared in Sand Town on 623 Johnson Street in No Man's Land and later moved to Waco, Texas.

She attended J. N. Jenkins Elementary School then to Carver High School and graduated from La Vega High School in 1971.

Laura was a member at Dallas Howard A.M.E. Church where she served as a Junior Usher Director and later became a member at St. Paul A.M.E. Church and served on the Missionary Board, Choir and served as a Junior Usher Director.

On June 27, 1996, Laura married the love of her life, Darryl Wayne Jones. They celebrated 17 years of marriage until his demise.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, A.J. Clark and Velma Clark; husband, Darryl Jones and brother, William Ray Clark.

She leaves to cherish her memory: five children, Shondria Augustine (Clarence) of Sugar Land, Texas; Victor Clark (Judy Kay) of Hewitt, Texas; Cassondra Fitts (Kyle) of Prosper, Texas, Roderick Pooh Clark of Waco, Texas and Rodney Clark (Sonya) of Waco, Texas; three sisters, Joyce Young of Waco, Texas, Doris Iglehart (Raydell) of Waco, Texas and Ruby Johnson of Waco, Texas; sister-in-law, Paula Clark of Cypress, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
