Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport.

Brian was born on December 12, 1959 in Iowa City, a son of Charles A. and Verona B. (Hodges) Potter.
He served our country in the Navy.
Brian was united in marriage to Kim Straw on October 14, 1978 at Blue Grass Presbyterian Church.
Brian was a jack of many trades, he enjoyed fishing, camping, shooting pool, and playing video games and cards, especially canasta and poker, and golf in his younger years. He was quite the jokester and enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends. He also enjoyed the loving companionship of his dog, Baby Chica.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Kim; children: Brian (Amanda) Potter, Jr., Chastity (Mark Mitchell) Potter, Kayla (Terio) Medrano, all of davenport, and Michael Lugo, Blue Grass; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Tim Potter, Davenport.
Brian was preceded in death by a son Joseph Potter, his parents Charles A. and Verona B. Potter, and siblings: Dawn Boyd, Dwayne Potter Steven Potter, and John Potter.
