Gloria C. Nelson of Fargo left this earth while living in Texas.

Gloria was born in Christine, ND on April 23, 1927 to Melvin and Evelyn Hoyem. She graduated Salutatorian from Christine High School before moving to Fargo. She was married to the love of her life, Harry, for 42 years.

Gloria loved her life… gardening, cooking, golfing, caring for others, dancing, singing, her job at Sears, and always having fun with family and friends. She was comical and loved to laugh. When I ask people what they remember most about my mom I'm always told the same answer, that she always smiled. Mom is appreciated for the strong love she exhibited in life and is greatly missed by all those whose life she touched. She often commented how lucky she was to have so many blessings, a wonderful family, and great friends.

After retirement she and Harry enjoyed traveling and split the seasons between their lake home and AZ home. In her later years she cared for her mother till she passed then moved to TX to be close to her daughter and family.

Gloria is survived by her daughter Deb and son-in-law Pete, granddaughter Jenny (Clay), grandson Ashley (Melissa), and 3 grandsons Mason, Brady, and Tyler all of Texas. Brother Hunce (Pat) Hoyem and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harry, her son Douglas, her parents, her sister Monie, and so many close friends and family members.
