KERRVILLE - Lewis I. Tate, age 83, of Kerrville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, in a local care center.
He was born January 4, 1924, in Denton, Texas, to L.N. and Grace (Farrar) Tate. On Jan. 4, 1947, he married Ethalyn Reed in Weatherford, Texas. Lewis and Ethalyn moved to Kerrville in 1988 from Dallas. He was a retired funeral supplies salesman and was formerly employed with Bass Mollett Publishers for 35 years. He won the Manufacturers and Suppliers Annual Distinguished Service Award in 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Ethalyn Tate, of Kerrville; and many, many dear friends.
Cryptside services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at Garden of Memories Mausoleum, conducted by Charles Gray and Lamar Hodges.
