Salem Capital Journal, Sat, Oct 29 1966:
Molalla -- Services will be at 2 pm Monday in Molalla Chapel of Everhart & Kent for Christian "Chris" Berreth, 53, Molalla, who died Thursday in a Silverton hospital. Interment will be in Adams Cemetery.

He was born in Linton, ND, and lived in Montana and Washington before coming to Oregon in 1943. He worked as a contractor on road construction while living in the area. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Oregon City.

Surviving are his widow, Josephine; a daughter, Mrs. Lowell Teasley, Tigard; four sons, John C. US Navy, and James R., Robert A., and Troy W., all of Molalla; his mother, Mrs. Margaret Berreth, Sterling, ND; three brothers, John, Oregon City, Edward, Falls City, and Michael, Linton, ND; six sisters, Mrs. Edward Hwer, Mrs. Herman Mier, both of Linton, Mrs. William Laren, Sterling, Mrs. Gottlieb Massc, Yakima, Mrs. Herman Fullmer, Billings, MT, and Mrs. Peter Bender, Edgeley, ND; and one grandson.
