Sidney Earl Allen, 77, of Garrett, Kentucky, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 at his residence. He was born Dec. 6, 1941 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Blutcher and Laurie Craiger Allen. He was the husband of the late Jessie Slone Allen. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his sons: Brian Allen of Sidney and Chad Allen of Garrett, Kenucky; daughters: Lorrie Wriston of Sidney and Barbara Goble of New Knoxville; his brother: Russell Allen of Tennessee; sisters: Lillian Allen of Hueysville, Kentucky and Dovie Allen of Martin, Kentucky; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Garden in St. Marys.
