Luis Enrique Torres, 36, was born on January 24, 1985, at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL to his parents, Esperanza Montes de Oca and Jose Luis Torres-Ramos. Luis went to be with the LORD on Friday, June 4th, 2021, after a devastating and horrible fight with Covid 19.

Luis is survived by his wife, Ashley and son, Luis Jr of West Palm Beach, FL; his mother, Esperanza Montes de Oca; his father, Jose Luis Torres-Ramos; his brother, Danny and niece, Jaiden; his brother, Arturo (Leilani) and nephews, Luis and Ari; his sister, Maday (Michael) and niece, Melanee (Luke) and nephew, Matthew; along with many other cousins and family members.

Luis was preceded in death by his grandparents; Edelmira Montes de Oca, Enriques Montes de Oca, Nicolaza Ramos, Jose Aurelio Torres; and uncle, Henry Montes de Oca.

Luis worked at the Port of Palm Beach for 11 years until his kidneys failed from IgA neuropathy. Luis started dialysis in February 2018 and continued until he received a kidney transplant on July 5th, 2020. In June 2018, Luis started working with his wife and his in-laws at Drawdy Construction Co Inc. He enjoyed many perks including hunting trips, trips to Disney World, trips to the Keys, and fishing and camping out at his property in the Prairie.

Luis was a graduate from Forest Hill High School in West Palm Beach, FL. Luis played high school baseball on the varsity team as the catcher. Luis also played baseball in college at Palm Beach Community College and Lindsey Wilson in Kentucky.

Luis and Ashley were soulmates since the first all night phone call. They married in 2011 and they welcomed their son, Luis Jr, in 2015.

Luis enjoyed being at the ball field. He and his wife began to help coach girl's fastpitch softball after Luis received his kidney transplant. If Luis wasn't playing softball, he was coaching softball. He enjoyed everything in the outdoors including spearfishing, saltwater fishing, canal fishing with his son, taking the golf cart for an afternoon ride, camping out in the Prairie and riding the side by side for the weekend. Luis enjoyed being around friends and family all the time. No matter if it was 15 minutes too long or not. Luis was the life of the party. Always had a big smile on his face, never complained, wanted to have fun, eat good food, and make special memories. Luis was the type of person who never met a stranger.

Luis was someone who will forever be missed and never forgotten. "There's heroes & there's legends. Heroes get remembered, but legends never die." The Sandlot

A Celebration of Life will be held for Luis on June 26th, 2021, from 2pm to 6pm at softball field #22 at 11700 Pierson Road, Wellington, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Meal Train at https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/o1gz31 for Luis E Torres memorial service.
