James Fowler, 79, of 344 Oglesby Lane, Cowpens, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Cowpens, he was the husband of Barbara Wyatt Fowler and son of the late Charles T. Fowler and Jeanette Phillips Fowler.
He retired from Earnhardt Lumber and was a member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, gardening, tractors, four-wheeling and camping.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, James Edward Fowler of Cowpens; a daughter, Patricia Fowler White of Cowpens; two sisters, Louise Smith and Paulina White (Kenny), both of Cowpens; three grandchildren, Justin Fowler, Dustin White (Teryn) and Brittany White; four great-grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Vanna and Mary; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vernie Waddell and a brother, Joe Willie Fowler.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Blakely Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chuck Thornton, Mr. Justin Fowler and Ms. Brittany White officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the residence.
