Devoted to her family, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. A graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School, she was a longstanding member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and member of the Ursuline Society. She spent a great deal of time in prayer and spiritual reading.
Surviving are her husband, Claude Joseph Zimmerman Sr., to whom she was married for 68 years; her sons, Claude Jr. (Jana) and Rev. John M. Zimmerman; her daughters, Mary Valois (Thomas) and Rose Monts (Ronnie); 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Schiller (James); brother, John J. Rice III; three nieces and one nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia Anne Zimmerman, 91, will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the St. Joseph Prayer Garden. The family will receive friends at the church following the committal service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
As Patricia was a devout Catholic and active member, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church (Columbia, SC) Building Fund or EWTN.
