Amy Smith, 45, of South Bend, passed away on Friday June 18, 2021 in her home. She was born on April 7, 1976, in South Bend, to Marty Smith and Karen Barrett, who survive and she was a lifelong area resident. Amy is also survived by her Step-mother, Jacki Smith and Step-father, Charlie Barrett, her son, Sabastian Bonnell; three sisters, Kelly Barrett, Jenny Lippert and Judy Entinghe, her fiance Ty Dominiak; granddaughter Gabriella Colston, grandson Ezra Dominiak Acosta and her stepdaughters Jordyn and Katie Dominiak, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Amy worked as a Waitress/Bartender at Hacienda for 12 years. She enjoyed meeting and working with so many great friends. Her favorite days at work were those dress up days at Halloween, which was her favorite holiday. Amy had a smile that not only lit up a room, but was so contagious that you could not help but be affected. She was loving and caring with a big personality. She made her family's world more meaningful.

You will always be in our hearts. We love you and miss you. A visitation will be held from 11 to 2 p.m. Monday June 28, 2021 at the Kaniewski Funeral, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will conclude at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
