Marion Keith Brown, age 73, a Grand Prairie, Texas resident, was born on Thursday, July 24, 1947, to Marion Eugene and Shirley Cleo (Krebbs) Brown, at Madill, OK. Keith passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021, at 8:44 pm in Arlington, TX. He graduated from Coleman High School. Keith was an assembly line worker for General Motors and had his own lawn service from 1980 until March 2020. Keith proudly served his country in The Army during the Vietnam conflict, he was a part of the 4th Battalion 9th Infantry a part of the HeadQuarters Company called the Manchu's. He married Janice Larell (Staggs) on Saturday, October 19th, 1968 in Wapanucka, OK. They celebrated over 52 years of marriage before his passing. Keith was a member of Wapanucka First Baptist Church. He enjoyed burning brush, brush hogging his in-law's fields in Wapanucka, and afterward playing a few rounds of 42. He grew a passion for sitting around campfires and riding four-wheelers when he was not watching the Rangers, Cowboys, or the Mavericks. He was always up for a challenge to sports trivia and he knew many interesting sports facts, surprising anyone who dared to talk sports with him. His memory was incredibly sharp, remembering the names of everyone he met and enjoying daily cups of coffee all throughout the day. Mowing lawns was not only his second job but also a hobby that he adored and was excited to do up until the last time he mowed his own yard in April. He was very proud of that, almost as much as the last 2 months he was able to be a Grand-Dad, and he proved that too come second nature.
Keith is survived by his wife, Janice LaTrell Brown of the home in Grand Prairie, TX; daughter, Melissa Hudson and husband Adam of Ft. Worth, TX; granddaughter, Ophelia Opal Hudson; grandson, Jude McGuyer; goddaughter, Nicole McGuyer and husband Roland; mother, Shirley Brown of Coleman, OK; brother, Jerry Brown and wife Punkin of Coleman, OK; sister, Ann Beck and husband Joe of Tishomingo, OK; sister in law, Janice Brown of Coppell, TX; brother in law, Gregg Staggs of Norman, OK; along with mutiple nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
