Reichle were united in marriage at the Doniphan county court house at Troy, Kansas on November 5, 1932, his age being 26 and her age at 21.(Src: Doniphan county probate records). He worked in the maintenance department at Mangelsdorf Seed Company in Atchison, Kansas prior to WWll and for several years following. He retired there in 1962.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1945 as a Seaman 2nd Class on the battleship Mississippi in the war against Japan.
February 26, 1946, he and mother purchased a farm at Cummings, Kansas consisting of 26 acres and there they reared and educated 11 children.
In 1973, they sold the farm and moved to Atchison, Kansas and lived at 923 North Seventh Street.
Dad died May 28, 1980, at the age 73, at the Atchison Hospital after he had entered there on May 23. Mother died April 21, 1990, at the Stormont-Vail Reginal Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas at the age of 78. Upon her death she had 30 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
