James H Hoffman was born June 1, 1944 and passed away on June 13th, 2021 in Rocklyn, WA. He was born to Wilmer and Letha (Smith) Hoffman. He was raised on the Seven Springs Ranch, west of Davenport, Washington. Jim graduated from Harrington High School in 1962. Jim attended and played basketball at Yakima Valley Community College, where he met Linda Pearson who he later married. Jim loved his children, Lori Hashimoto, Janine Noel, Todd Hoffman and Denise Hoffman. He loved watching their various sporting events, being involved in their 4-H and FFA projects, teaching them all how to work and brand cattle, and even how to fix a fence as needed to keep his cows where they belonged in the pasture. He worked for various cattle ranchers in the area before working at the Harrington Grange Supply. His love for cattle became strong once again taking over the family ranch in the late 1980s. Jim could also be found lending a hand at the Davenport Livestock Auction, where he developed many close friendships.

The easiest way to get Jim off the ranch was when he had a job to do in a rodeo with his lifelong friend Donny Hutsell. Jim is survived by his children Lori (Scott) Hashimoto, Janine (Rob) Noel, Todd Hoffman and Denise Hoffman (Ed Shields). Jim is also survived by five grandchildren, Blake Hashimoto, Grant Hashimoto, Trent Hashimoto, Dalton Wilkie and Janaye Wilkie. He is also survived by his brother Dick (Nancy) Hoffman and sister Doris (Kevin) Norris and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Wilmer and Letha Hoffman.

Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Harvest Celebration Church, 308 7th St. Davenport, WA.
