She was born May 9, 1949, in Waterloo, daughter of Ivan and Virginia See Myers.
She married Ricky Ray King Nov. 1, 1969 in Waterloo.
Peggy graduated from Orange High School and Pitzies Beauty School.
She was the deli manager at Kimball-Ridge Grocery before becoming the assistant deli manager at Adams Grocery Store.
Peggy had a strong devotion to her faith.
She enjoyed flowers and loved being with her grandchildren, and even after 50 plus years, Grandpa still meant the world to her.
Survivors include: her husband; three sons, Kevin (Mary Weich) of Waterloo, Theodore of Waterloo and James (Sherry) of Gilbert, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, Kelly, Kyle, Joe, Shawn, Austin, Regan and Remy; three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Liam and Sawyer; three sisters, Carol Callahan of Minn., Iann Veldhuizen of Iowa and Mary (Tony) Wilber of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by: her parents.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 25 at Faith Lutheran Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, continuing for one hour before services at the church on Friday.
